As I was in the taxi coming home tonight I had a thought? Why is it acceptable to call someone from England an Englishman, or someone from Ireland an Irishman, but it’s racist to call someone from China a Chinaman?

They aren’t white males, and thus using any adjectives to describe them is inherently racist?
Because there is a word for someone from China (Chinese) so the only time you call someone a chinaman is if you are trying to be rude.
