My Embarrassing Mouth

In the foreword to one of his books, PJ O’Rourke gives thanks to someone at ABC News for sending him to Baghdad as a radio correspondent, even though he had no experience as a radio reporter.  He said that his reporting consisted of him saying something like, “Uhhh… burning tanks!”

That’s the way I feel when I look at these videos.  I sound retarded.  I use “literally” and “spectacular” and “absolutely” about a thousand times.  I just keep repeating the same drivel over and over.

I am far better at the written than the spoken word, I guess.  Although, when I’m as drunk as I was when I took these videos I can’t write, either, so I guess demon alcohol is to blame.  At any rate, I apologize for my ridiculous blathering banter and nonsense over the videos.

Actually, you have a great voice. Everyone says stuff you said when they’re filming.

PJ O’Rourke is one of my favorite writers. I have the book that your tking about but I don’t remember which it is. Anyway, I appreciated the audio commentary. Thanks for sharing.
