I Got A Turtle Head Pokin’ Out

Today when we went to lunch we walked across the foot bridge near our office and there was a woman selling turtles.  I asked one of my Chinese crew if they were being sold as food or pets and was told that they were primarily being sold for pets but you could eat them if you wanted to.

One of my crew bought one for some reason, and the woman put it into a mesh bag.  As we were walking back to the office he started swinging the bag back and forth.  I said, “Don’t do that to the turtle, you’ll kill it.” He thought this was hilarious.
